Ying Liu

Liu Ying, Associate Professor, School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, joined the CSDGC at Stanford University as a Visiting Scholar in December 2016 for a one-year visit to conduct research on big data driven smart society and smart operation.

As an Associate Professor of School of Economics and Management in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Liu’s main research interests include E-commerce, Data-driven management decision-making, and Internet Finance.

He earned his PhD in Management Science and Engineering from the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. As an associate professor, he led several national research projects, and engaged in big data analysis and related product development cooperated with Alibaba, Baidu, Tencent and other enterprises. He won the Outstanding Scholar Award of Alibaba Young Scholars Program, and received CCF-Tencent research fund. His ongoing research projects include: "Early warning of users churn risk base on Tencent big data", "Using Baidu search engine data as business cycle indicators of small and medium enterprises" and “Evaluation of China’s supply side reform effect based on multi-source data”.
