Izabela Senderacka

Izabela Senderacka, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Bialystok, University of Technology, joined the CSDGC at Stanford University as a visiting scholar in May 2019 for a two month visit to conduct research on innovation methods, and commercialization and business models for enterprises.

Dr Senderacka received a PhD (2017) in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Białystok (Poland). She also had pursued doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2002, she graduated from the University of Bialystok with a Master's degree in Russian Philology from the Humanistic Faculty, and a Master's degree in Law from the Faculty of Law. In 2013, she participated in the Top 500 Innovators Science-Management-Commercialization program funded by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and hosted by the Stanford Center for Professional Development.

She currently works at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Bialystok University of Technology in Poland as an academic teacher. Her research focuses on the influence of technology transfer on the innovative activity of enterprises. The main areas of research include models, sources, and channels of technology transfer, and their role on innovative activity of enterprises. She also focuses on the commercialization aspects and methods of innovation.

She has previously worked at the Białystok Regional Branch of PKO BP (Poland’s largest bank) and the European Funds Management Office (International Cooperation Department), European Integration Office at Podlaski Urząd.

Since 2009, she has been an external expert evaluating applications co-financed with EU funds at the Ministry of Science in Higher Education in Poland, National Center for Research and Development in Poland, and other national institutions and regional associations.
