Wenbin Luo

Dr. Wenbin Luo joined the CSDGC at Stanford University as a Visiting Scholar in August 2017 for a one-year visit to conduct research on sustainable port city development and performance-based green port renovation.

As the head of engineering and technology at Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG), he led several major infrastructure projects in Shanghai Port, and engaged in the research projects of China National Key Research Plan.

His research focuses on sustainable port and city development, including port planning and operations, infrastructure delivery, equipment and smart systems.

He earned his PhD in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2002. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the China Ports Association.
