Lin Guan

Guan Lin, Professor, Electrical Power Engineering College, South China University of Technology, is a CSDGC Visiting Scholar at Stanford University for one year from September 2014. She is involved in research on smart power distribution systems with open access to distributed generators, knowledge management and multi-agent-based control techniques. She is also interested in working on smart grid infrastructure and related topics.

Guan Lin is a Professor and the current Dean of the Electrical Power Engineering College at the South China University of Technology (SCUT). She specializes in Electrical Power System Automation. Her research interests include power system planning and reliability analysis, HVAC/ HVDC power system security and control, integration of wind power to power systems, and related applications of artificial intelligence. She has completed more than 40 projects funded by utilities and the China governmen,t and published more than 80 research papers.

Prof. Guan received her Ph.D. degree from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1995.
